What is goal of the Library foundation’s $700,000 capital campaign?

The library foundation’s capital campaign covers the cost of furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the renovated library which are not covered by the recent referendum. The $4 million which Cape Elizabeth voters approved on November 4 will be used to renovate the older section of the library (existing Pond Cove Annex) and constructing a new two-story addition. How much has the Foundation already raised?

We’ve done it! As of January 5th, the TMLF has raised over $703,000, more than 100% of our goal! 

 

How can our family contribute?

To give everyone in town an opportunity to be part of this exciting project, TMLF recently sent letters to every family who has not already donated asking for their help in getting to 100% of the goal. To contribute, just write a check to “Thomas Memorial Library Foundation” for renovation fund and mail to Thomas Memorial Library Foundation, 6 Scott Dyer Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107

 

Is the Library Foundation putting in $100,000 in matching funds?

YES. For all contributions up to $1,000, the Foundation will match these up to $100,000 from the Foundation.

 

What if we did not receive a letter about this capital campaign?

If you did not receive a letter, we apologize for missing you and your family. Please alert us of your address, and we will add you to the list. Here is a copy of the letter that we sent out.

 

Are contributions tax-deductible?

All contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. The Thomas Memorial Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. A gift receipt will be sent to you for tax purposes.
