A monthly club for students in grades 5 – 8
Felicia Mazzone, from the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland (ARLGP) will work with animal-loving middle-schoolers on projects that help shelter animals, promote animal adoption, and educate the public about caring for animals. She will bring a different live animal friend from the shelter with her each month, such as dogs, cats, rabbits, and more.
Club members will receive a passport that will be stamped when they complete service projects. At the end of the year, the passports can be traded in a for a special prize.
The club meets once a month, usually on the last Thursday of the month from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. It is not necessary for club members to attend every meeting, however we do require advance registration for each meeting a student plans on attending so we can make sure we have enough resources for all participants.
Below are the meeting dates. Click on a link to read a description of each meeting and to fill out an online registration form.
